Wike in pains as Presidency confirms Governor Sim as the leader of APC in Rivers State

 


President Bola Tinubu has openly affirmed Governor Siminalayi Fubara as the leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State.


Speaking in a television interview, the President’s Special Adviser on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, said the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, cannot lay claim to the APC leadership in Rivers since he is not a member of the party.


Bwala added that President Tinubu has adequately compensated Wike with his current position as FCT Minister.


On the impeachment moves against Governor Fubara, Bwala warned that the APC would firmly resist any attempt to obstruct the governor from carrying out his constitutional duties in the state.
